American Psycho personality type is ENTJ, which stands for extraverted, intuitive, thinking, judging. Entj's, according to the MBTI, are all about power and for sure this is what the character Patrick Bateman had to psyche himself up for in the movie. The ENTJ also has what is called "The Mask" which is a persona that they put on. It is a persona that hides the real self from the outside world. It is a sort of power armour that protects them from the outside world and this is why they can't be emotionally vulnerable like in the movie. They are always in control and know what they want and the best way to get it is to get it first. This is why they are so successful at work. It is in their nature to do this. Whenever they are not in control they feel like they are losing their power to be powerful. They have to be in charge or else they will lose power in their life.

American Psycho is a 2000 black comedy horror film directed by Mary Harron.[5] Written by Harron and Guinevere Turner, it is based on Bret Easton Ellis's 1991 novel American Psycho.
