In 2003, he published a memoir about his life and career.
In the early 1970s, Bradlee became a member of the New York-based Committee for the Investigation of Impeachment of the President of the United States, a group allied with former president Richard Nixon. Its members included Bradlee, Nixon's attorney general John Mitchell and Robert Mardian, a lawyer who would later play a key role in the Watergate scandal.
