Mrs. Headwood personality type is INTP, an exception to the rule in that she’s an ESTP. But as an ESTP, her particular blend of Introverted Thinking (Ti) and Extraverted Sensing (Se) would seem to be a close match to my mother’s P, J, and N scores. If not for the fact that she uses the same sort of materialistic thinking that she ascribes to me, I’d imagine that Mrs. Headwood’s personality type was an INTP.
Mrs. Headwood’s terminology is also worth noting. I believe it has more to do with her mental model than anything else, but it also shows how she views the world through the lens of a Ti dominant system.
“Values-based” is a term she often uses to describe her own ethical outlook, but it is also the term she uses to describe my ethics. She uses the word “values” to describe my ethics because she sees them as based in some kind of abstract morality system, not in terms of the types of animals that I happen to be killing for food.
