Il Yu-Jin (일 유진, Il Yujin/イ・リュウジョン, I Ryuu-Jon) is a minor recurring character in the Yakuza series first introduced in Yakuza 2. He is a K-Pop idol. In the 2000s he was a well-known Korean pop star; however, as of 2019, he is retired following a scandal. During the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, his appearance becomes scruffier at one point. He now sports a stubble and wears a loose-fitting gray sweater, a dark gray scarf, a pair of plain gray track pants, and a pair of black sandals. Ichiban's party will meet him for the first time in Eomeoni's Vow, where he's seen complaining to a waiter about not being given another shot of drink. This will start his substory, "A Fading Star", where Ichiban's party decided to follow him to Bar Rodriguez, where he can be seen mumbling to an unwilling customer while drunk. Displeased at Ichiban's intervention, the party fights Il Yu-Jin and successfully defeated the former star.
