Bosko personality type is ESTJ, or a “strict father”. The strict father is the type who is always correcting the behavior of a child, but in a way that is not seen as overly harsh or mean.
In my own experience, the strict father of my childhood was not a bad person, but rather a very overzealous parent who believed he knew what was best for me all the time. I also believe he believed that his yelling and hitting was what made me the person I am today, so I was never really allowed to be a kid.
My mother was also a strict father figure. She was not as overzealous as my father was, but she did not allow for my independence, either. She was also a believer in rules and discipline.
Interestingly enough, strict fathers are more common in “traditional” societies like Sweden and India than they are in countries where women are more in control of their own lives.
(This raises the question: are men raised by strict mothers more likely to be feminist? And vice versa?)
Strict fathers can be found in all types of families, as long as there is a mother present.
