Makorra is just my favorite character and the main reason why I watch this show. I can't stand Mako though.
I don't think any of the characters in this show are particularly likeable. They all have distinct traits and weaknesses, but at the end of the day, they're all kind of assholes.
The main three are all rather hard to like, but they're not horrible people. I don't think they're intentionally mean.
Worst Character: All of them, really. They're all incredibly annoying and selfish.
Best Character: Mako. If you aren't a Makorra fan, you'll probably hate Mako the most. He's an asshole and does some pretty despicable things in this show. But he's also very likable when he's doing something nice for someone else.
