Kay personality type is INTP, which means I’m an “introverted, intuitive, thinking individual.” I’m generalizing here, but you probably have general ideas about the INFJ and INFP types. INFJ is the “intuitive, idealist, people-loving” type, and INFP is the “introverted, imaginative, poetic” type.
I’ve been toying with the idea of including a section on Myers-Briggs typology for a long time now. I’ve always found it interesting, and I’ve learned enough about it to make an attempt at explaining it to my readers.
I’m using the Myers-Briggs test as a kind of “portable personality test”. I don’t actually believe in the test, although I think it has its uses. It’s clear to me that there are enormous gaps in my understanding of my own personality (which is not surprising, since I stopped taking it after completing my first test).
Instead of trying to understand myself by studying my personality, I’m trying to understand my personality by studying myself.
