1) What got you interested in Chinese history? Was there anything that inspired you?
I began learning Chinese history in my early teenage years. My father was a teacher and he used to tell me stories about ancient China. My interest was piqued, but I couldn't really get into it because I was too busy with my studies.
I started to read Chinese history texts in my mid-teens. At first, I didn't really understand them. But after several months' hard work, I finally understood them.
