Backrooms Fandom personality type is ESTJ, and I was asked to write a piece. I was told that the piece would be about my love of Star Trek: TNG and to not mention fandom because I am a big nerd. I took it as a challenge to write an essay that could still be in-character, but still be true to myself while writing. I wanted to write something that I would write, even if I wasn't aware of what was going on behind the scenes.
I started writing and immediately realized that I had nothing to say. I would go back over what I wrote and try to change it to something that made sense, but in the end I just felt that I had nothing to say about Star Trek: TNG or fandom. It felt very empty.
After a few days of thinking about it, I realized that Star Trek: TNG is about a group of people who make their way through the galaxy and make friendships with many different types of people. The characters are not defined by their relationships with the people around them, but by the relationships they make with themselves in order to overcome the challenges they face.
