How do you explain to your children that they have to deal with a parent who is not only a jerk, but a jerk who lies to them? What kind of example is that for children? It's not their fault, but it is their lives, and their lives are being ruined because of the actions of their neglectful parent.
The only way to stop this is to expose the lying and bad behavior, and tell the children the truth. And then they have to choose whether they want to stay in the home or go away. The choice will be theirs, but they'll have to make it, because the parent is more than likely going to continue with their lies and deception.
As ESTJs, it's our job to provide the best environment for our children. If we can't do that, it's time for us to leave the home. But we need to leave on our own terms, not with the children still in the house because we don't want them to suffer any more.
