Gary Rohmer personality type is INTP, which means he is a thinker, not a feeler. He is the second INTP that I have ever met. He’s a very interesting and intelligent guy. He is fond of INTP-type humor. He is also very much an INTP in his professional life.
When I started my undergraduate career at Harvard, I became friends with two other INTPs, Jay Rosen and John McMillian. We became close friends during our undergraduate years. By the time we were both in graduate school, we had become close friends. John and I continued to stay in touch, and I later became his assistant when he was the editor of The New York Review of Books. After John left to become professor of journalism at Columbia University, Jay became the editor of the Review.
John, Jay, and I would often have dinner together at our favorite restaurant in Cambridge called The Corner Room. That restaurant was eventually replaced by another restaurant called The Harvard Common. Unfortunately, The Harvard Common closed down two years ago. It was a wonderful place to go for dinner.
