At first glance, Jyn Erso seems like a sweet, non-competitive girl. However, she does have this abrasive side to her where if you cross her, she will be cold and ruthless with you. This was evident in her relationship with her father, Galen Erso, from the first Star Wars movie (Episode IV: A New Hope). Jyn was his only child, so he focused all of his attention on her growing up. Unfortunately, he did not teach her to fight properly because he was a pacifist and did not want her to be a killer like him. That is why she became a pilot and needed to learn how to fight.
Jyn’s cold and ruthless side was also evident in her dealings with the Empire. She did not hesitate to put her life on the line to save her friends and family. She also felt the need to protect the Rebellion even if it led to the deaths of people who were trying to support the Rebel Alliance. Her willingness to sacrifice herself for the Rebellion is an ideal that fits with the ISFP personality type.
