My military training and work with the military was an early influence in my life. I always had an interest in what was happening in the world and how things worked. I had a strong curiosity about how things were done. I saw myself as an engineer, but I liked the idea that I could also be a soldier. I was fascinated by the idea of weapons and the military hardware, but also by the technology that goes with it. The idea of being an engineer for the military appealed to me because I could combine my interest in engineering with my interest in weapons. The military also offered me a chance to earn a living while I lived at home with my parents.
I read a lot about the military, and I wrote stories about what it would be like to be a soldier. I was also interested in a lot of science fiction stories that dealt with the military, particularly space-based warfare and the colonization of other worlds.
I liked to build things, but I didn't like to clean them up afterwards. Also, once I became an adult, I had a fascination for machines that could kill people.
