In my research of Carlos’s background, I found that he has been a police officer for 25 years. He has worked as a police officer in both San Diego and San Francisco. He started working with the San Diego Police Department in 1989 and was promoted to Sergeant in 1993. Carlos then worked his way up to Lieutenant in 2006. Carlos worked as a Lieutenant in the San Francisco Police Department from 2006 until 2014. He then became the Deputy Chief of Police for the San Francisco Police Department until his retirement in 2015.
