Magnets, how do they work? personality type is INTP, and the most prominent traits of mine are independence and analytical ability. I think it's a pretty good fit. My INTP personality type is also described as "engaged in a struggle with the empirical world to understand its principles." This describes me perfectly.
I'm also pretty sure I have a bit of ENTP in me. Just like my mom, INTPs are very analytical and analytical people can be pretty smart. My family and friends say I'm a lot like the INTP hero in The Matrix, Neo. I don't think I'm that smart, but I still love movies and would love to do something like that one day.
