Vulcan (Star trek) personality type is INTP, and what are the Myers Briggs personality types for Spock? Is there a Myers Briggs personality type for Vulcan? I know the Myers Briggs description reads as "Leo" but I'd like to know what type of Vulcan would be best for Spock.
Vulcan, or Spock, is an INTP. This is a very good fit, because according to the Star Trek-Myers Briggs catalog, Vulcan is an "ISTP" (Introverted Thinking Perceiving).
Fictional characters can be made to fit into any type framework easily enough, but Spock is a particularly good example of this. While the Star Trek Encyclopedia (third edition) lists Spock as an INTJ, the CAT tests have him as an INTP. The first edition of the Star Trek Encyclopedia had him as an INFJ, but the second edition has him as an INTP. Also, he's one of the few fictional characters who can rightfully claim to be both an introvert and an extrovert.
