The Battle Cats is a turn-based strategy game with an RPG element. Players can collect virtual cats and train them to be powerful fighters. As they level up, they gain more abilities and stats. Cats are divided into "races", with different abilities and appearances, but acquiring the same race is not required to use them. The 6 races include: Kitty, Tiger, Bear, Turtle, Horse, and Rabbit. After a cat reaches level 10, it can evolve into a stronger form of itself called an "Awakened Form", which is not bound by the same level cap as its previous form.
A spin-off game called Paladins was released in July 2014.
