Godlike Gamer personality type is INTP, according to the Myer-Briggs Type Indicator.
In an interview with the Game Developers Conference (GDC) this week, Harmonix's Matt Firor said that Harmonix was inspired by the personality types of players who play Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
"We have a very strong set of research that we look at when designing new things," he said. "We started the game, really, with Rock Band in mind and Guitar Hero. We wanted to design something that we felt would be appealing to the most hardcore of gamers and to our veteran players."
"For us, it was really interesting to design a game that would be appealing to the INTP gamers," Firor continued. "The fact that they are so analytical, they're so logical, they're so theory-oriented, they're so theory-driven and they like to take in information, deconstruct it and explore different avenues and different theories: that was really appealing to us as a design-team."
"To be able to find a game that was appealing to them, even though it was a music game, it's something that was not expected from the standpoint of their gaming history," he added.
