Dong Ding tea is a variety of oolong tea that is hand-picked and shade-dried in the mountains of Fujian province in China. Oolong tea is one of the most popular teas in China, and the Dong Ding oolong tea is considered the richest and most robust (and most expensive) tea in the world. After picking, the leaves of the Dong Ding oolong tea are spread out on bamboo trays to dry in the sun for about a week before they are packaged and shipped to northern China. The Dong Ding oolong tea is then shipped from northern China back to Fujian province for additional processing.
