I was born on June 18th, 1978 in Frankfurt, Germany. I grew up in Frankfurt and started learning the guitar at the age of sixteen. I studied sociology and psychology at the universities in Frankfurt and Hamburg where I finished my education in 2003. I earned my PhD in Sociology in 2006.
My father is a historian and my mother is a therapist. My brother is a journalist and my sister is an IT-scientist. My brother and I are both very interested in science and research. We do an average of 100 hours of research every week. I’m also interested in philosophy and politics, and I’m a huge fan of literature.
I’m married to Talia, a translator who is an ISTJ, or introverted intuitive thinking judger: Talia is a great psychologist, and one of my best friends. We have two cats called Vampira and Blackie who we adopted from a rescue center in Spain.
