In my experience, this has been the case many times. I remember being part of a group of girls at school who all had the same personality type (ENTJ) and we were all quite assertive and outspoken – yet it was always me who ended up in charge. This was due to my natural leadership traits as well as my ability to quickly gather information in order to make decisions.
I also often find myself getting things done quicker than my ENTJ friends, which is probably due to my competitive nature. I am always on the look out for ways to get things done quicker and more efficiently, which probably came from my competitive side from a young age.
