Cameron personality type is INTP, while his younger brother, William, is an INTJ. Cameron, like his brother, grew up watching his father write, and by the time he was twelve had started to work with computers. Cameron's parents allowed him to buy a computer for his birthday one year, and he set about learning to program. Cameron's father, a carpenter by trade, helped him build a computer that would run a simple game. This was the rudimentary beginnings of a video game. Cameron's father was also an avid photographer. Cameron's dad would take pictures of people in their everyday life, and would then make a photograph of the same scene in a different setting and take a photograph of the same subject with a different camera. As Cameron grew older, he continued to follow in his father's footsteps, deciding to become a photographer as well.
In college, Cameron developed a love for film, and was eventually able to start his own production company. He filmed some short films, and eventually wrote and directed a short movie called "The Interview," which was shown in several film festivals. This exposure brought him to the attention of several Hollywood producers, who eventually offered him a job as a screenwriter.
