I think the reason why he's so insensitive is because his personality is too close to ESTJ. He's been a part of the Vocaloid community over a decade, and you can see how he's developed through that time. Both his personality and his knowledge are pretty stagnant. I think he just forgets to take the time to learn something new.
I feel like this is called "boring" in the fandom, but I feel like the Vocaloids are a lot more interesting than most other anime or games out there. You get to see people's personal lives develop and grow through their Vocaloid characters. It's really cool to see how they interact with their fans and how they deal with the ups and downs of their lives.
I honestly don't think that the Vocaloid community is boring at all. On the contrary, I think it's fascinating how people can connect so deeply with a character that was created just for entertainment purposes.
