King Midas personality type is ESTJ, or the “Mastermind”.
I draw some parallels between Midas and Zeus, especially in their personality types. They both have a distinct sense of pride and arrogance, and a love for gold that is almost religious. However, Midas seems to be a bit more introspective, and more interested in the company of others.
In addition, Midas seems to have a distinct sense of humor, and a bit of a dark sense of humor. He makes fun of his own situation, and mocks his own power, as well as his fellow man.
I wouldn’t say Midas is an outright villain, but he definitely has a lot of negative qualities that make him a bit of a jerk.
For example, if he can’t have what he wants, he will go out of his way to get it. At one point, he even steals the Golden Fleece from Apollo, who is the Sun God.
One of the most memorable examples of this is when he puts the Golden Touch on his servants to have them work for him for free.
