Lenny's entire life is geared towards his work, and his work ethic is quite impressive. He has something of a reputation to protect as Lenny Cole. He wants to be known as an honest man, and he doesn't want to be associated with anyone who can't be trusted. In fact, he is very protective of his reputation. That is why he has never spoken out about the accident; he doesn't want to be known as a drunk driver. Not only that, but he wants to keep his reputation intact for the sake of his family.
