“I’ve always felt that I was an extrovert and an introvert,” he says. “And as an extrovert, I like to be around people and get energy from them. I’m an energy vampire — I eat people. But I also need to recharge by myself. I’m a bit like a reverse vampire, eating people and then spending the rest of the day by myself.”
That duality has always made Linny feel a little unsettled, he says. When he feels overwhelmed, his solution is to go hide in his bedroom and listen to music or watch movies.
“If I don’t have anything to do, I go into my room and I just do nothing. I don’t really have a positive way of viewing things unless I’m doing something or I’m learning something,” he says. “I have a very negative outlook on life without something to do.”
Born in San Francisco, Linny lived in Asia, Europe and the Middle East before moving back to the United States at age 10.
