INTP (XwX)
Wooshy personality type is INTP, but I have a hard time with the dichotomy of INTP and ENTP. The reason I have a hard time with the dichotomy is that I feel like there are quite a few people who are very INTP-like, but do not identify with the ENTP label.
Which brings me to my question: what are your thoughts on the dichotomy of INTP and ENTP? Is it a real thing that exists in the world, or is it mostly just a name we give to very similar types?
I think that it is largely just a name. I have no idea how many people are actually on the "INTP side" of things. I think it is an easy way to classify people without having to spend too much time looking at the individual types. It is also an easy way to establish which side the person identifies with (or, if they are not sure, which side they want to be on).
I think it is a pretty safe way to classify people, but I do think that it is often used as a crutch for people who are really not sure what their type is.
