Roberto Dalaras personality type is INTP, which can be described as a ‘thinker’. In his later years he suffered depression, but that was caused by the death of his wife and children. He was not suicidal, but the sudden loss of a close family member made him vulnerable to depressive illness.
As a young man he was an INFP. Being a creative person and being around creative people, he ‘grew up’ into being an independent thinker.
In his ‘formative years’ he composed poetry, wrote plays, and wrote novels. He was also interested in politics, but chose not to enter politics, because of the pressures of living in Greece and the political climate of the country. He became a journalist for a short time, but this did not suit his personality type.
He was a romantic poet and wrote about the way people live in Greece, the beautiful rural areas and he gave voice to the people who were struggling against a government that was not listening to them.
