The main character is a woman who doesn't know where she came from. She doesn't want to think about it and she has a fear of the unknown. However, she still dreams of having a family and a name, and she is so used to having everything that she doesn't even notice the lack of them.
She loves the water and loves to braid hair. She notices something in a child's hair and the child just stares at her, and she does it again. She keeps doing it and the child keeps staring and that really makes her happy.
She loves to read and write and she has a lot of notebooks full of ideas. She has a professor who inspires her and she wants to have his job, but she doesn't have the money to study.
There are many other characters, but I don't want to spoil anything for you. This book is about hope and dreams, and that is what makes me love it.
