Since I've taken a strong interest in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator as a method of personality assessment, it makes sense to base my description on her work. Isabel Myers was a humanistic psychologist and the mother of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. She was born in 1909 in Ohio and died in 1980. She was a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. In 1943 she published The Growth of a Child, a book that describes the development of personality from birth through adulthood. She also published other books that describe aspects of personality from birth through adulthood.
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator is a very widely used personality assessment tool. More than one hundred and fifty thousand people in over a hundred and twenty countries have been scored using Myers Briggs Type Indicator. It's widely used in education, business, counseling, and other areas of life. Isabel Myers was an INTP herself and she did some significant work with the Myers Briggs Type Indicator that is often referenced by INTPs.
