Kyo Ishigami’s name literally means “stranger” in Japanese. He seems like an ordinary high school student, but he is secretly a member of the Arcueid Brunestud (the most powerful vampire in history) who has been tasked with protecting humanity from the numerous otherworldly threats that exist in the world. He is also the “black sheep” of the family, being the only male and the only one who does not drink blood.
We first meet him in “Carnival Phantasm,” where he is gathering a team of strong individuals to fight the “Doll,” a serial killer targeting young girls. In episode 13, we finally get to see Kyo Ishigami’s real face. He’s a handsome guy with long black hair, a small but cute nose, and a round face. His long hair and black clothes are reminiscent of Kyoichi Mikagami from “Hell Girl,” and his personality seems a lot like Yumiko Sakaki from “Hell Girl.”
