Deaf personality type is INTP, again.
The main reason I can see for this is that he seems to have a very acute understanding of the mathematical and logical structures to which the world and its inhabitants are subject, and this is what leads him to the conclusion that the world is a reflection of logic, and thus a reflection of him. The world is not a reflection of logic, it is logic itself, but he knows that that’s what it is, so he can find that out by looking at it.
Then, in reading all this stuff, I came upon a very insightful post on the ASDF blog by Dave Neary (who also happens to be deaf), in which he makes the observation that I think applies to both me and John. That is, he says that the deaf person’s problem is primarily one of socialization, rather than one of speech.
In my case, I’m not only deaf – I’m also mute. There is no way to talk to me, so I don’t really have any way of communicating with other people.
