    The Daily Stoic
    ISTP

    ISTP (4w3)

The Daily Stoic personality type is ISTP, and the ISTP is the one of the four personality types that I have described as “The Thinkers”, in my book, The 16 Personality Types. But, while ISTP is generally the dominant personality type for these individuals, they also have a distinct secondary personality. The secondary personality is called the “Impulsive” personality type, and it is described by the Greek letter, Delta (δ). The ISTP is a passionate individual with a natural propensity to act on impulse. Because of this impulsive nature, they can be very spontaneous and spontaneous action is a hallmark of the Impulsive personality type. ISTPs are also known to have a rather dry sense of humor that is often at odds with their natural dryness of disposition.

I’m not sure what made me go with “Impulsive” for the secondary personality of ISTPs, but it certainly fits. ISTPs are often known to speak their mind and for their bluntness and bluntness can sometimes have a negative connotation.
