    INFP (4w5)

ELVF (The Poet) personality type is INFP, and the one of the most common of all.

INFPs are often described as sensitive, quiet, and highly imaginative. They often have a difficult time coming to terms with their own emotions and when they do they may be prone to emotional outbursts. The INFP’s real strength, however, is in the creative process, the ability to use both imagination and rational thinking. They are often misunderstood because they are not always able to make decisions quickly or without much internal debate.

It is easy to see how the INFP’s creative nature could lead them to music. INFPs are often artistic and like music in general, but in that they are usually quite skilled at it. They are also often quite introspective and in that they often write poetry. Music may seem like a good outlet for this, since it is so creative. But the strength of the INFP’s creative process is in their ability to use both imagination and logic. So despite their natural inclination to music, it is not their best choice to express themselves through music.

INFPs are often creative in their own right and may use their artistic talents in other ways than music.

ELVFs are great storytellers. They can make a person feel a wide depth of emotions through their crafty use of language and story telling. This type, nicknamed “the poet”, is able to build a colorful picture of their desires and they often use this to negotiate their responsibilities through lengthy discussions. Unfortunately, ELVFs tend to have an attitude that does not aid them in exerting their willpower to take care of every day tasks. It’s not that an ELVF is lazy, however, they can sometimes lack attentiveness to chores and errands. This lack of willpower is often what leads this type to experiencing anxiety and restlessness. ELVFs spends a lot of time developing their emotional worlds through exploration of their own and others’ minds. They enjoy conversing and sharing interesting tidbits and ideas that they’ve gathered over time. However, as much as they love to express themselves at length, they are always scanning information to gain more insight to share in the future.
