Ne, or "neo" in Japanese, is a character in the anime series, "Neon Genesis Evangelion". His name is derived from the Japanese word for "new", and he is a particularly F-shuttle unit attached to NERV Unit-03. Ne is voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa in Japanese, and by David Kaye in English.
Neo is an eccentric, laconic, self-centered, and selfish young man who is more interested in his own personal development than those around him. He has a strong sense of responsibility towards others, but he is very independent and does not like to accept help or advice from others. This can be seen as his inferior function as he tends to be too proud to take advice from others and believes everyone can do their own thing on their own. However, this also means he has little regard for the feelings of others and is prone to making insensitive and insensitive remarks or actions.
