Speckles personality type is INTP, so I can relate to what you are saying. I have been very introverted my whole life and I have struggled with emotions and people. I have experienced depression and anxiety, and even though I have a great support system and family, it is still hard to express my emotions.
I am also an introvert and have found that I am too often "the damsel in distress", which I think is a form of escapism for me. I also have a tendency to be distant, but I try to keep myself open to people.
In the past month, my anxiety has been getting worse. I have been on the brink of a panic attack at least 10 times, and I am often hyperventilating from anxiety. A few weeks ago, I had a panic attack on the train and was unable to get up for about an hour. Luckily, someone helped me up.
My symptoms are not getting better, and I haven't done much about them. I am worried that I might be going through some sort of anxiety episode, and if I do, it will be an embarrassing one.
