I’m not saying this to brag. I’m saying this to say that it’s not just about being a nice person. I am nice, but I feel like my personality type might be able to help me better understand the nature of people, good and bad. Can we say that the normally nice people are the “Good People” and the the normally not-so-nice are the “Bad People”?
I think so. It’s not just about being nice or being mean. It’s about being one way or another. I feel like the good people are more well-rounded, less-easily-defensive. The bad people seem to have a larger field of view, a wider range of emotional reactions and a more robust sense of self-interest. I’m not saying that’s the case for everyone, but I do think that it’s the case for a subset of the population that we call “bad people”.
I spent a lot of time thinking about this because I thought it was pretty interesting.
