Me too kid personality type is INTP, when I first met my ex, we were both INTP's. That's probably why we got along so well. You said on your profile you are extroverted, that makes sense to me, you're not a weird introvert, but you're definitely a quiet one. I'm a socially active extrovert and we always have a lot of fun together, but sometimes I feel like we just talk more than we do anything else. Your type is pretty common amongst INTP's, I've heard plenty of stories about it.
I'm not sure if your ex was an INTP or not. I know that if you're intp, you're usually the one who's attracted to them. You might have been testing the waters, just to see if you could feel more comfortable around them in a way. Most likely, that's what happened, and it looks like it worked out for you.
I'm an INTP myself and am attracted to INTP's as well. It's really hard for me to be attracted to people I don't really get along with. It's the same with extroverts, though, I'm attracted to extroverts.
