In contrast to the S-type, the J-type has a more rigid and structured way of thinking, and is often considered to be very logical in nature. They are also goal-oriented individuals who like to work hard for success, and can be ruthless in their pursuit of achieving their dreams.
The E-type is in charge of managing the feelings and emotions of the other two functions. The EJ can often be seen as a bit "tough on the outside," but with a strong sense of empathy and compassion towards others. As an auxiliary function, EJ's are able to understand and interpret what the other two functions are experiencing and are therefore more empathetic.
Although all three of these types come from the same function stack, they function differently in their respective types.
