Batara Ganesha personality type is INTP, and my current favorite MBTI personality type is in fact INTP. I believe that one can get to the core of the true nature of Ganesha, however, through understanding the Shiva-Shakti relationship and a bit of yoga and energy work.
The Shiva-Shakti relationship is expressed in many ways. The Shakti aspect of Shiva is represented by Parvati, and the Shiva aspect by Nataraja. However, I think that the deeper metaphysical meaning of the Shiva-Shakti relationship lies in the way Shiva is seen as both male and female energies in one. In other words, Shiva represents the masculine principle and Shakti represents the feminine principle. At a metaphysical level, Shiva is the energy of the Divine Union between Spirit and Matter, whereas Shakti is the energy of Spirit manifesting through Matter. So, like with all things in nature, there are two sides to every coin and so to say that one or the other is “better than the other” or “more important” than the other is missing the point entirely. The two are on equal footing and therefore, these energies complement each other to create a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
