A study conducted by Dr. Alex Myers, a professor at the University of Nottingham, found that INTPs are not any more likely to be introverts than any other personality type.
The study also found that INTPs had no more ‘coldness’ than other personality types, nor were they any more likely to be ‘emotional’.
Apparently, the major difference between INTPs and INFJ and INFP personalities, is that the INTPs were seen to be more assertive in social situations than the other types.
This is why they don’t seem to get on so well with their friends; they’re just too strong-willed for their own good.
