I was really excited when I read the first few chapters of this book, but I'm a little disappointed. The book is quite obviously intended as a self-help book on INTPs and the author's method of helping INTPs is to make generalizations about the INTP personality type and then tell the INTP reader how to fix themselves by applying these generalizations to themselves.
I don't think this works for INTPs.
It would work better if the book were written as a self-help book for INTJs (or ISFPs). It could be written from the other side and used to try and help INTJs understand why they are not as happy as they think they should be. Or it could be written from the point of view of an ISFP and used to try and help ISFPs understand why they are not as happy as they would like to be.
The first chapters of the book are okay, but the book falls apart after that.
