Boyd's father is an alcoholic who physically abuses Boyd and his mother, while his elder brother is the responsible one of the family. Boyd has a younger sister called Janey, who he helps to raise. Boyd is very close to his family, and loves his younger sister very much. One of Boyd's dreams is to go to America and become a scientist. He also has a fascination with Thomas The Tank Engine toys and trains as a child.

    As a child, Boyd always dreamed of having a train set and was also a fan of Thomas and Friends. Boyd's favorite food is chicken nuggets and enjoys games such as Monopoly and Scrabble, he also enjoys reading.
