I think you could still be wrong though, because she doesn't necessarily hate the other person. She doesn't like them, but she doesn't hate them either.
On that note, I have the opposite problem. My bf is a very sweet guy, very kind and considerate. But he's also a bit of a self-centered jerk, especially when he's "happily married" to me. The more I try to get him to see his own faults, or fill in the gaps of his own self exploration, the more he gets angry and defensive. He's not bad at heart, and he's still really very nice to me, but I don't know how to get through to him, and I don't know if I even want to anymore. He's even convinced me that my efforts are just a general attempt to control him and manipulate him into changing his personality, which is ridiculous, because I have never tried to control him in any way. But that's how he thinks.
I don't know what to do about this.
