Peryite personality type is ESTJ, the protector, who has a dominant way of thinking. I’ve been called bossy, domineering and arrogant at least once a week since I was a little girl. I used to wonder why everyone couldn’t just get along. When I read the description of my type, I thought, well, duh. I can’t deny that I’m bossy; I don’t have a choice.
I’m unpredictable. I’ll make an off-handed remark about something and suddenly, a week later, I’m in tears because I don’t know why I said that and it made me feel stupid and it’s all my fault.
I like being in control, but I find myself at the mercy of my feelings. Once, when I was younger, my brother was just a slobbering baby and my mom told me he needed a bath. I scooped him up and took him to the bathroom and put him in the tub. He didn’t want to be in the tub. He wanted to be held. So I lifted him out of the tub and carried him to the living room.
