I learned to express myself through writing, acting, and singing. I was raised in a family where music was an important part of daily life. My parents, grandparents, and great grandparents were all accomplished musicians.
I started writing poetry around the age of 5. I used to write essays for my sixth grade teacher, telling her what I wanted to be when I grew up. I performed Shakespeare’s Richard III for my 7th grade class. I performed for my elementary school’s Christmas performance at the age of 10. I played the piano for my first choir at the age of 12.
I have always loved writing, but I didn’t know that I wanted to be a writer until college. I’ve always been interested in the arts.
My journey as an artist began when I started exploring my creative side in college. I majored in English with an emphasis in creative writing. My greatest influences are Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, W.E.B.
