The Luther personality type is one of the 16 personality types identified by Carl Jung: the "Mastermind". The Jungian type is a combination of the three Jungian functions: Logical (Ni), Sensing (Si), and Intuiting (Ne). The combination of these three Jungian functions creates the Luther Personality type. The Luther personality type is a combination of the position of the Logical function (Logo) in the logical-judging area of the psyche, and the position of the Sensing function (Sco) in the sensing-perceiving area of the psyche. The Luther type is a combination of the roles of Logician and Senser, and thus are archetype-like in that they project certain qualities, relationships, and actions to others.
The Luther personality type is an example of a "mastermind" archetype, a dual personality which represents an individual who has both strong and weak points. Both the Locke and the Luther types are considered "Masterminds", however this type is essentially a duality between two personalities, usually a "rational" and a "mystical" type.
