Saeed Mazaheri personality type is INTP, which makes sense, because he's a bit of rebel. He's sort of a like a scientist who acts like a rebel. He grew up in Iran, where he wrote columns and political commentary for newspapers. After the Iranian revolution, he fled to Germany and worked in a chemical factory. He studied English and philosophy at the University of Erlangen and officially changed his name from Mazaheri to Mazaheri-Alavi in 1977, when the Iranian Revolution began.
He stayed in Germany, was involved in the Iranian opposition movement, and lived for a time in Switzerland before being granted asylum in the U.S. He spent several years as a Fulbright Scholar, studying psychology at the University of California at Berkeley and philosophy at the University of California at Santa Barbara. In the U.S., he continued to write about political and social issues in the Middle East, and worked as a journalist and for the U.S. State Department.
In 1994, he published his autobiography "My Journey from Tehran to America."
After 9/11, Mazaheri-Alavi returned to Iran and was arrested by Iranian authorities and put on trial.
