Grisin personality type is INTP, which turns out to be an excellent match. There’s not much research on INTPs because they aren’t a particularly interesting or useful type, but I did find a few studies that looked at the brains of INTPs. One study found that INTPs had larger hippocampi (an area of the brain involved in learning and emotion) than other types. Another found that the INTP brain was less grey matter than the other types, which means that INTPs have more meat in their brains.
INTPs have difficulty with social situations because they have trouble imagining that anyone other than them might have an opinion about something. They are also very independent and have difficulty with the concept of teamwork. Because they prefer to come up with their own ideas, they can be very good at their jobs, but if they are in a group that is making decisions, they tend to be outsiders and not actively participate.
This makes sense – INTPs can’t be bothered by social conventions and just want to do their own thing, so they would never join a group. This makes them very good at their jobs, but it also makes them terrible team members.
