TJ_beastboy personality type is ENTJ, if I have a hard time explaining the concept of a personality type, it's because I am not a very good explainer. It would probably benefit us both if I could hire a professional to explain the
start-up analysis and weighing of benefits versus costs.
But then, ENTJ is the rarest of the rare in the personality type world. And that is what you want from a team lead. You are not looking for the most common personality type. You are looking for something that is highly rare. Take a look at the type distribution for ENTJ. Only about 3% of the general population are ENTJs. This means that out of all of the people you meet, only about 3% will fit your ideal for an ideal team lead. That's not a good way to find a team lead.
But what about the ENTJ? What is it about ENTJs that makes them so rare as team leads? This is something we have debated at length on our website here. I'm going to summarize some of my thoughts on this topic below, but this post is focused on finding a team lead, not understanding yourself or your personality type. I will leave the ENTJ debate for another time.
